The story of Lord Brihaspati (Jupiter) and Tara is very closely related to the astrological event of Pushya Nakshatra.

Tara was married to the Guru of Gods, Brihaspati, however, due to his distant behaviour she felt unhappy.

She ended up falling in love with Chandra (the Moon) and eloped with him.

This upset Lord Jupiter which raised a conflict with Moon (Chandra). The two celestial bodies went to war over Tara involving gods and demons.
